Air travel

All flights from overseas to Auckland arrive at the Auckland International airport (it’s the only one!). The most important thing to remember when travelling to Auckland from the US or Europe is that you will lose a day when crossing the International Date Line πŸ™‚

To arrive on Sunday 9th September you will need to leave the US or Europe on Friday 7th September but I suppose you all know that, just a friendly reminder. Of course you gain a day going home, to the US you arrive before you have left and for Europe you arrive the next day.

Flights from Australia, New Zealand is 2 hours ahead of Sydney and Melbourne and 5 hours ahead of Perth. www.timeanddate.com/

Air New Zealand, which is the airline of choice, is in the Star Alliance. Qantas also fly into Auckland International Airport, they are part of the Oneworld. www.airnz.co.nz
